A Trust Betrayed

Looks like someone really went and screwed things up.  They have made an enemy of Fear itself.  Bad idea.  Lots of uploads today.  Well, I'm working on a one page comic and took a break to do something easy for a change because I was going crazy. I had this awesome doodle of Fear that was begging to be colored. He was so angry and evil in it that I made up a little story to go with it that doesn't quite fit into any of his universes.   So here's the story.  Fear had a friend (he doesn't really have friends unless you count the stuff in Triangulum Resistance) or perhaps he had a minion/underling that he had grown fond of.  Now you guys know it's very hard to lie to Fear but it might be possible if his full trust is gained.  Something not easy to do.  If that happens he might not be looking for fears in that person or ignore them to the point they become invisible.  (Unlikely but for this story something definitely went wrong)  So this person betrayed him.  You know the saying about there's no worse enemy than a former friend as they probably know all your weaknesses.  Fear is one of the last people you want after you. So he will get back at the traitor with all his powers.

"From here out forever shall you know terror in your heart.  You shall constantly know my names and have them with you relentlessly.  But I shall not only go for your mind. No that is not the only power at my disposal.  I shall be danger that is constantly around. I will be the wet slick road when you drive, I shall be the precarious rocks on your mountain travels, I shall be the hurricane flying in from the sea, I will be the pathogen in your food,  I shall be the pollution in the air.  But I will not give you death though I certainly can. As you took my trust so shall I take yours to the point you will fear what and who lurks round every corner, even in the sanctuary of your own home."

Fear is capable of killing but if he does that he can no longer frighten that victim and feed off their fears.  This person really wronged him in such a bad way that he will give them paranoia for life.  The title of this drawing is inspired by the Riff Master General album of the same name. A Trust Betrayed. That's the album that has the song Fear Before the Fall. So I thought it was fitting to do another tribute to them with the Fear Meister himself.  Oh and let's not forget nightmares so even in sleep this enemy  now can find no rest.  So yeah I'm doing a very detailed ink piece right now so I took a break as it was driving me nuts and did this.  Simple shading. I didn't even add highlights this time.  Simple textured background too.  He also looks good against green as he does aqua. Gosh I love his beautiful flowing eyebrows.
